Message from the Dean of Faculty of Health and Sports Science, Thaksin University
Wallapa Choeibuakaew, RN., DSN.
Distinguished Knowledge Partners, Esteemed Presenters, Honored Participants, Ladies and Gentlemen,
It is with immense pride and enthusiasm that I extend a warm welcome to you all at the 4th International Seminar on the theme "Integrated Health through Sport and Wellness: Building Sustainable and Healthy Societies." This event not only signifies the continuation of a rich academic tradition but also marks a remarkable chapter in the evolution of a platform that began in 2014 as a collaboration between Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), Malaysia, and Thaksin University. The inaugural seminar, hosted at Thaksin University’s Phatthalung Campus, laid the foundation for what has grown into a series of impactful events, fostering international collaboration and knowledge exchange.
In 2015, the seminar expanded to Malaysia, with UPSI taking the lead in hosting the second event and welcoming Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta as a valued partner. This growth brought the total number of institutions involved to three. Following a brief hiatus, the seminar was relaunched in 2023 with remarkable success, now encompassing 19 esteemed institutions from across the globe. This significant expansion prompted the event to be renamed the 1st International Seminar to better reflect its broadened scope and vision. Since then, the seminar has been held annually, culminating in the 4th edition this year, a true testament to the strength of our international collaborations and the ongoing commitment to advancing global academic dialogue.
What began as a platform for undergraduate students to experience an international academic environment has since evolved into a distinguished venue for scholars, researchers, and academics from around the world. This transformation underscores the seminar’s pivotal role in the sharing of groundbreaking research, innovative ideas, and transformative knowledge, all of which contribute to the betterment of society.
As we embark on the proceedings of this 4th International Seminar, I am confident that the collaborations and insights shared throughout this event will inspire new perspectives, foster meaningful academic relationships, and contribute significantly to the collective knowledge across disciplines. The exchange of ideas here has the power to shape a future where the integration of health, sport, and wellness becomes central to building resilient and sustainable societies.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the distinguished knowledge partners, participating institutions, presenters, and participants who have generously contributed their expertise and time to this endeavor. Your collective efforts play a crucial role in advancing knowledge and positively impacting society at large.
Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to a truly engaging, insightful, and fruitful seminar.
Warm regards,
Wallapa Choeibuakaew, RN.,DSN.
